The Solar das Pedras Hostel
The Hostel is a Portuguese building of thick rock walls built in the XIX century, in 1840, located in the historical portion of the city, protected by the Instituto do Patrimonio Historico e Artistico Nacional (IPHAN).
It was completly restored, redecorated and adpted for the Hostel. However all its original characteristics were maintaned, preserving the old but with comfort. It has 44 beds distributed in 04 couple rooms (with bathrooms), 01 family room (with children till 10 years old and private bathroom), 07 collective rooms for four people, all equipped with individual closets and fans. The hostel offers a simple but safe and clean environment.
Location
The hostel is located in the heart of the Historical Center in Sao Luis on Rua da Palma, 127. It is near the urban transportion terminal where you can find buses for every part of the city, including beaches, shopings, etc. In the neighborhood you can find museums, old historical buildings, churches and markets with typical food. The night life in Projeto Reviver is also around with bars, restaurants and nightclubs.

How to Arrive in the Hostel
From the AIRPORT
Take the bus (São Cristóvão bus) until Deodoro Square (downtown). Walk down Sol street or Paz street until João Lisboa Square (about 10 blocks). Go down Humberto de Campos street, turn left and you will see the Solar das Pedras Hostel. For more details see the map in the tourist information panel).
